Two programs can quote similar numbers and be selling substantially different things. One includes months of training, delivery, and ongoing support. The other includes a dog. Comparing them on price alone is how buyers end up disappointed, so here is a plain account of what a placement with us actually covers, and what it does not.

If you are evaluating other programs, use this as a checklist. Any of these items a competitor does not include is a cost you will absorb later.

The training itself

The dog arrives having completed our full program, in sequence, with each phase finished before the next began.

• Obedience to a working standard. Not household manners. One command, first time, under distraction, in unfamiliar environments. See obedience training.
• Socialization across real environments. Restaurants, bookstores, crowds, and public spaces, plus time living in a trainer’s home rather than only in a kennel. See socialization.
• Protection work on command. Engagement that starts and ends on your cue, rehearsed under pressure, including realistic household and home-invasion scenarios. See protection training.
• Neutrality proofing. Deliberate rehearsal of the dog doing nothing under provocation, which consumes more training hours than the engagement work does.

Dogs reaching our elite tier typically spend around two years in the program. After purchase, we add a further customization phase, generally about eight weeks, tailored to your specific household, environment, and expectations. That phase is included. You are not buying a generic finished dog, you are buying one finished around your situation.

The dog

Every dog we place comes from elite European working bloodlines and has been evaluated continuously from around eight weeks of age for courage, nerve strength, environmental stability, and drive. Dogs that do not meet the standard come out of the program rather than getting moved forward into a placement.

Selection also includes suitability screening for your specific household. A dog cleared for a single adult is not automatically cleared for a home with young children, and we treat those as different standards rather than the same one. Matching

Placement begins with a conversation about your household rather than a catalog of available dogs. Breed, drive level, and temperament are matched to your living situation, your experience, your daily routine, and who else is in the home.

This is also where we tell people no. If your circumstances are wrong for a dog right now, or if what you actually need is a well-trained family dog rather than a protection dog, we would rather say so before a deposit than after delivery.

Visibility before delivery

Once a deposit is placed, you are welcome at our facility to watch training sessions in person. If you are not local, we send weekly videos and written progress reports so you can follow the dog’s development as it happens rather than taking our word for it.

This is included and it is not a courtesy. A program unwilling to show you the dog working before it arrives is asking for a great deal of trust it has not earned.

Delivery and transfer training

The dog is hand delivered. It does not ship as cargo and it does not get handed over in a parking lot.

A trainer brings the dog to your home and conducts transfer training there, which covers:

• The full command vocabulary, in the exact words the dog knows
• Your delivery of those commands, including tone, timing, and body position, corrected individually
• The protection commands specifically: what initiates them, how to end them, and when not to use them
• The daily routine the dog is accustomed to
• Introduction to your household, and to your neighborhood
• Managing visitors, deliveries, and guests
• What a normal settling-in period looks like, so ordinary adjustment is not mistaken for a problem

If two adults will be handling the dog, both should be present with hands on the leash. People give commands differently without realizing it, and a second-hand account of what the trainer said will not surface that.

Lifetime support

Placement does not end at delivery. Every client has ongoing access to us for questions, and we offer refresher sessions, maintenance training, and protection-readiness work as needed.

This matters more than it sounds. The most common owner mistake we see is waiting to ask. A question at week six is trivial. The same question at month six has had time to become a habit. Support is included specifically so that nobody has to weigh whether an issue is worth a phone call.

The compatibility guarantee

We do not place a dog we do not believe fits your household, regardless of what a client is willing to spend. That screening is why fit problems are rare rather than managed.

If one did arise, we would work through it with you directly first. If it could not be resolved, we would provide a dog of equal value, provided the original dog has not been abused or neglected. That is the actual commitment, stated plainly rather than as a slogan.

What is not included

Being direct about this, because the omissions are where surprises come from.

Questions to ask any other program

If you are comparing quotes, these will explain most of the price differences you find.

1. Is delivery included, and is the dog hand delivered or shipped?
2. Is transfer training included, and does it happen in my home or at your facility? These are not equivalent.
3. What support exists after delivery, and for how long?
4. Has this dog lived in a home?
5. What would disqualify a dog from your program? A seller with no disqualifying criteria has no standard.
6. What happens if the placement does not work?
